Homework Expectations:
Homework will be given everyday. Anything not finished in class is homework.

Homework that is assigned is important to the learning process and should be completed on time. Late homework is not accepted unless it is make up work from an absence.

After school availability:
I will be available before and Monday-Friday from 7:30-7:50 am(except on weeks I have morning car duty) and after school Monday-Thursday 3:05-4:00 pm.  If a student needs extra help, arrangements need to be made in advance.  The student needs to be picked up at 4:00 sharp.

Daily classroom materials:
Students need to come to class prepared and should have a pencil, 3-ring binder, paper, homework, math book, time tracker and AR books.

 Make up work:
Students get 5 days from the day you return from being absent to turn in missing work.

Parent Conferences:
I am available for conferences between 8:35-9:20 each Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday or after school Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.  If those days are not convenient for you, please know that we are flexible in working with you. Please feel free to call us during the year with any questions or concerns about your child.

Take home folder:
Your child has a folder that will come home on Tuesdays with tests and other papers to be signed.  When progress reports, they will also bring home the folder.  We ask that the parent/guardian sign the papers and the folder be returned on Wednesday.
Tests:
Students will have a math test in the middle of each chapter and after each chapter.  I will try to schedule these on Fridays but some weeks it maybe different.
Vocabulary tests will be sometime during the chapter usually on Fridays.  The new list is given out at the start of each new chapter. There may be Vocabulary for certain sections instead of the whole chapter.
Course 3 students will have vocabulary included on their chapter tests.
Students have 5-6 question quizzes about 3 days a week.
Students are required to have a 3 ring binder.  This notebook needs 4 tab dividers.  All work and notes are to be kept in order.  They will be graded at the end of each chapter for a test grade.  There will be periodic checks to see if they have it in class and it is in order.
