A bit more about me
I am orginally from Canton, Illinois and graduated from Canton High School. I earned my Bachelor's of Arts degree in English/Communications from Illinois College in Jacksonville, Illinois and my teaching degree from UNCC. I worked as a reporter/photographer/layout manager in Mt. Sterling, IL and as the Job Placment Specialist at Spoon River College in Canton, IL before moving to Kings Mountain, NC in 2001. I taught Language Arts at Kings Mountain Middle School for one year and then took a position as an English I teacher at Kings Mountain High School in 2002. I currently teach English I in The Expedition and Yearbook Journalism.
I am a member of First Baptist Church of Kings Mountain, where I have served as a Sunday School teacher and a Children's Choir teacher. I currently live in Kings Mountain with my husband, Jon, my three children, and my two dogs!
