My Name is Shi Whisnant. I have been a teacher at North Shelby for 9 years. I have a deep passion for working with children and families. The beginning of a new school year is the most exciting time for me! I love to see each bright face coming in the door bursting with new tales of summer vacations that seem to end too soon! I attended college at Berea College in Berea KY and
graduate school at Western Carolina University. I have also become a National Board Certified Teacher. Each day holds a new adventure for me both as a teacher and as a parent. I look forward to the journey each day and look forward to working with you.
Some of my other passions include: reading, singing, scrapbooking, visiting family and friends, hiking, swimming, fishing, and spending time with my husband and children My current favorite books are: the Chronicals of Narnia My favorite movies include: Facing the Giants, My Fair Lady, Nanny McPhee, Pirates of the Carribean..... My favorite subject is: SCIENCE!!! (Although, reading and math are favorites too!) |
