Welcome to Title I at Union Elementary
Ë Union Elementary is a school-wide Title I school. Title I is the largest federal assistance program for our nation's school and with this program Union Elementary can offer a variety of teaching methods, materials, and instructional support for students. Title I programs also allow schools to offer smaller classes, additional classes, additional teachers and assistances to meet the needs of all students.
Ë The Title I staff at Union Elementary are highly-qualified. Each staff member has been trained on a variety of research-based programs and is highly educated to best serve the students at Union. When you walk into the Title I rooms you will notice that all Title I staff members are willing to make an impact on the lives of others through a caring environment. The Title I teacher assistants serve Title I students in small groups, as well as help with instruction in the regular classroom setting. For the small group Title I instruction, we use programs such as Sonday, CORE, Read
Naturally, Reading Mastery, and HELPS.
