 About Us
My name is Lisa Faile. I love teaching young children here at Jefferson School! Pre-K is always an exciting place to be! I graduated from Limestone College with a degree in Elementary Education and earned a Preschool Certificate from Appalachian University. I am married to Cecil, and we have two sons, Trey and Justin. Both of my boys are grown now, so I am thankful that I get to spend time with your child each day! I am a member of Landmark Baptist Church and Alpha Delta Kappa Teacher's Sorority. I enjoy taking trips to the beach, going to the movies and planting flowers. My favorite food is spaghetti and my favorite drink is Sun-Drop. Potato chips and chocolates are my favorite "junk" foods! I like to listen to all types of music: Country,
Christian, Rock, Pop, and of course, children's songs! I don't like snakes and shrimp. My favorite book is a children's book, of course, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, by Eric Carle.
My name is Sherry McGuire, teacher assistant to Mrs. Faile. We all have a purpose in life and mine is to nurture young children, helping them reach their full potential. I graduated from Winston-Salem State University with a major in Art, I earned an Associates degree from Cleveland Community College in Early Childhood Education. I am married to Melvin and we have two sons, Octavis and Tad. We are also the proud grandparents of two wonderous little girls, Amya and Kensley. My hobbies are many. I love canning,drawing, painting, and creating floral arrangements for weddings, family and friends. My most recent piece of Art work is housed at my church, Palmer Grove Baptist, on the Administrative Hall, a collection of portaits of past and present men of God who have
pastored the church.
