Summer Music Camps are a great way for our students to continue growing as musicians. They offer many advantages like private lessons, theory classes, piano classes, small and large ensembles and concerts. They also offer many other activities besides music. It is a great way to get to know people from around the state, nation and world. I encourage all of our students to try a summer music camp at least once. Most are on college campuses, allowing students to see the positives of a college and inspire them to want to go to
college while still being well chaperoned by the camp. I have sent students to many of these camps, and they go back year after year because they enjoy and learn so much. The only complaint any student has every said to me was that they wish they could still go after their senior year.
These camps place students in groups not only by ages but also by musical experience. This allows them to grow more as group so that know one will struggle or be left behind.
