Summer can be a wonderful time for us all to relax and enjoy the change of pace that the end of school brings. June, July, and August can still be filled with learning, though. The beauty of these months for teachers and students is that you have more free time than usual. You can choose to spend some of that free time learning about any topic that interests you!
I am spending some time this summer learning about birds. I have a pair of binoculars and a guidebook. Whenever I see birds outside in the yard at the feeder, birdbath, or in the trees, I get my binoculars out and watch the birds. After they have gone, I get out the guidebook and try to figure out what birds I saw based on the behavior, color, shape, size, and other features of the birds. It is very fun. I hope you will find an interesting topic or two to learn more about this summer.
