Although I was born in Shelby, North Carolina, I was raised, and grew up, in Lawrenceville, Georgia. That is about 30 minutes from Atlanta. I am a huge fan of the Georgia Bulldogs- Go Bulldogs!!!
I am a graduate of Burns High School, and I received my bachelor's of science in psychology from Gardner-Webb University-Go Bulldogs! I have a teaching certificate in special education and social studies from Converse College in South Carolina. I am also a Nationally Board Certified Teacher!
I have one child, a 7 year old boy named Ethan. Ethan loves to be outdoors as much as I do! I enjoy rock climbing, horseback riding, and playing ball. I also enjoy reading books by Nicholas Sparks, Frank Peretti, and Ted Dekker. In my other spare time I enjoy scrapbooking with my friends.
I encourage parent - school interaction. Anytime a parent would like to visit our classrooms, call or e-mail me to arrange it. We love to have visitors!
