A bit more about me
I am a certified Middle Grades Science Teacher at Shelby Middle School - 8th grade; and have my Master's in Teacher Leadership. This is my 12th year teaching here at Shelby Middle School, but I have also taught in Gastonia and Kissimmee, Florida. I have taught Elementary, Middle Grades, High School, and College (Adult Ed.) at different times in my life for a total of seventeen years of teaching experience.
I love teaching Middle Grade students - I seem to relate to them the best :).
I am originally from Kissimmee, Florida - am a BIG GATOR FAN!! I have one older brother and I am a twin.
I have been out in the Business "world", but kept coming back to education. I have degrees in Administration, Marketing, and Education.
I have a small but wonderful family consisting of my husband, two daughters ( Jessica and Courtney), and four dogs (ranging from a Great Dane, German Shepard, Pit Bull to a Shorkie).
I am married to my seventh grade sweetheart, and we are coming up on our twenty-fifth year anniversary this October. He has gone above and beyond the call of husband and father!! We are very Blessed to call him ours!!! <3 !!
My eldest daughter Jessica has graduated college this past May with a BS in Communications with a Minor is AeroDynamics; and is a 2nd Lt. in the United States Air Force. She is married (to her High School sweetheart), and is currently stationed in California, and has a great job!!! She seems to be living "the dream"!!
My youngest daughter has attended UNCG, and Guilford College (to play soccer). She is currently attending CCC and trying to decide upon her major and four year university - which changes almost weekly! :D She just turned twenty two and so we are not very worried (at this point). Our motto for her is, "Not all who wonder are lost"!!! :D
