ATTENTION ALL LATIN CLUB MEMBERS: Remember to bring your items for the food drive by Monday, November 23, 2009.. Your Latin Club membership depends on these items.
Congratulations to the Burns FFA Dairy Judging Team who placed 8 in the state contest yesterday in Salisbury. There were 51 teams competing. Team members include Tyler Earl, Caleb Miller, Brittany Bryson, Amber Parker, Madison Wood, and Morgan Smith. Travis White finished 10 in the Dairy Handler Competition.
Attention Bulldog students and staff. The time is finally here for our BHS Powder Puff football games! The first game between the Freshmen and the Juniors will start at 1:00 on Saturday. The second game will be between the Sophomores and the Seniors. Finally, we will have a championship game between the two winning classes. During half-time of the Championship game our own Powder Puff Cheerleaders will perform! Don't miss it! Tickets will be sold at lunch for $5 or they may be purchased at the door. If you are playing on any of the Powder Puff Teams, cheering on the Powder Puff Squad, or coaching a team, please meet in front of the
field house at 12:30 to pass out jerseys and warm up. Again, if you are participating in BHS Powder Puff, please report to the field house by 12:30 on Saturday.
Finally, if you pre-ordered and paid for a Powder Puff T-shirt, you may pick it up from the JV cheerleaders at Lunch!
A fund raiser for the memorial of Justin Murphey & Dawayne Allgeyer will be held at Kate's of Shelby on November 24th from 6:00-8:00. $5.00 admission (includes regular skates) and $3.00 extra for rollerblades. All Education students and FTA students going to the Operation Christmas Child Processing Center in Charlotte on Nov. 30th need to have their completed permission forms AND money ($ 11.00) turned in to Mrs. Nanney by/before Nov. 23rd! Thanks!

Tickets are on sale for Friday night's football game in the front office. Cost is $7.00, cash only. These will be sold until Friday @ 12:00pm.
The Astronomy Club will reschedule Tuesday's meeting until next Monday(23rd)night due to the forecast of rain.
Tickets for the 2009 Powder Puff game will be on sale starting tomorrow during all lunches! Tickets are $5 each. They will also be on sale at the door. The games take place this Saturday, Nov. 21st at 1 P.M. Come out and support your fellow classmates!!
Combined tickets for the Powder Puff Games and the Womanless Beauty Pageant will be on sale starting tomorrow! Tickets are $8 each and will grant you admission to both events! Tickets are available for purchase in the office, at the school store, and in all lunches.
It is Turkey Time! Who will be the biggest turkey of Burns High School. This year we have an all female list of lovely ladies trying to strut her stuff in the cafeteria Tuesday, Nov 25th. Bring your money to vote Tuesday-Monday. All FFA members need to turn in citrus and nut money and sales by Tuesday November 24th. Remember when you sell 5 items or more you get a special invitation to a dessert lunch!

Make sure to come and support Carey Heavner's fight for cancer on November 21st at 6:00. The Drama and SGA club will sponsor a Womenless Beauty Pageant which will include Larry Gardner, Chris Glover, Mark Parker, Tom Centofanti, Jonah Brooks, DJ Thomas, Grayson Gee, Mr. Gary Blake and more. It cost $5.00 at entrance. Make sure to come out and support the cause.

The Winter Driver Education class begins on Monday, November 30- December 11, 2009 from 3:15 - 6:15 pm each day in the Burns High auditorium. The class is limited to the first 150 students to sign up. You must be 15 by May 30, 2010 to sign up for this class. Forms can be picked up in the front office. Forms may also be picked up outside Mrs. Sanders office on the freshmen hall. The last day to register for this class will be November 20, 2009.
