Homework For the Crocs (Stem words listed on Welcome Page)
August 25th- The first day of 7th grade for you. Get all necessary papers signed and return them to your 1st Core teacher. For language arts, be sure to change the due date of the 1st book report on your Croc Newsletter to read Due Sept. 14th!
August 26th- Autobiography activity and poetry writing
August 27th- All about Me personality tags and writing assignment. If you forgot to turn in your poem or picture- bring it Monday!
August 30th- Stem words given. Write the stem, its definition and the spelling word 3 times each (quiz Friday)
*We will go to the media center Sept. 7th to check out books. Feel free to check one out from the public library or my class library before then if needed.
August 31st- Study stem words, and find something to read at home- 30 minutes of reading is suggested :)
September 1st- Write a 5 paragraph compare/contrast essay on one of the Cinderella tales that we read in class. Par 2 should tell similarities, par 3 should tell differences, and par 4 should tell about the cultural traits that the story contained. Use your graphic organizer that we did together in class to help you.
Sept. 2nd- No written homework- UNLESS you need to turn in a late essay that was due yesterday. Study your Stem words and meanings- check the Welcome page for a list of these.
Sept 3rd- We will take our Stems test in class, read "Ella Enchanted" and discuss it. No HW this long and wonderful weekend- enjoy it.
Due Dates to Remember- Sept. 14th is the due date for the 1st book report!
