H.O.T.S. stands for Higher Order Thinking Skills. It is a general thinking skills program that generates gains in basic skills while also improving thinking ability and social confidence. We begin at the table to discuss strategies, vocabulary, instructions or other necessary information Then, we proceed to the computers Finally, we meet back at the table to share our findings or discoveries and evaluate our strategies All groups are 35 minutes each Each is a "small group" setting, between six to eight students per group HOTS students are second and third grade students |
